Wonderful bed&breakfast with friendly owners, comfortable rooms and last but not least delicious breakfast. I strongly recommend you to stay there if you are visiting Salzburg.

Excellent! - Booked directly with them online. Upon arrival at Salzburg HBF, Taxi would have cost 20 euros, so we hopped on the bus to makartplatz, from where we changed to Bus no. 21. It was a 23 minute ride to the stop Leherbauhof. On a 24-hours much cheaper ticket! It's almost at the end of the very long moosstrasse. You can see the TV inside the bus for stop info. Check-in - We arrived at about 3 p.m and the entire neighbourhood was very quiet. The setting of the house was lovely, with greenery and the mountains up front. Walter welcomed us warmly and took us up to our room on the first floor. It was our very own apartment with a private entrance and stair way leading up. Walter was kind enough to help my wife with her bag. He gave us a separate key to the house and our room with the locking instructions. We were also informed that the last bus no. 21 from town to the house was at 11. p.m so we should not be later than that. We never were, the latest we ever came back was on the 10.10. His office is on the ground floor where he gave us a city map and other helpful info. I paid by credit card in full at check-in itself. Here we met his lovely wife and the very friendly pet Nino. My son was very fond of Nino instantly, and still remembers him. In fact nino would sit with us at breakfast every morning. Room - it was a lovely large room with all amenities, including a refrigerator. Big bed, additional seating, a TV with cable box, lots of storage space, even an electric kettle, and of course the most wonderful balcony with views of the Untersberg mountain, and the lovely swimming area and garden of the haus am moos. My wife and I were thrilled with our apartment and its amenities. There were also a couple of good paintings in our room which added to the atmosphere of being in Salzburg! The bathroom too was big and clean with towels and soap provided. Rooms were cleaned every day and new towels provided, very efficient and again impeccable. Breakfast - was served daily between 7.30 am and 10.30 am by Walter's wife, who turned out to be a very pleasant and cheerful hostess. We usually ate breakfast quite 'late' at about 9.30, so by then there were generally no other guests in the very vintage and colourful looking breakfast area, which overlooked the pool and garden, and had us nino for company each morning that we were there! The breakfast itself was super - 2 or 3 cereals, ham, cheese, biscuits, breads, juice, boiled eggs, apple/ peach/ strawberries on one occasion, and hot coffee or tea fresh from the kitchen by our wonderful hostess. After breakfast, Walter could be seen discussing sightseeing options for the day with his guests. He provided lots of info, and also checked about the weather on his computer. Salzburg card - Walter also sells the Salzburg card, so you could buy it from him. It's the best card to have to see all the sights in the city. The incredible part is - from the top of the Untersberg mountain, we were able to spot and zoom in on the Haus am moos!!! If you look carefully, you cannot miss it. It's at the end of a long long road (the moosstrasse), and its the only house with a pool, so you cannot miss the small blue square from Untersberg. It's a 22 minute bus ride from the city center to Haus am moos, but a very comfortable one. The Salzburg card covers it for free, or you can get the 24-hour bus pass for only Euro 3.30. We did it many times, even at 10 pm. during our 4-night stay. Or if you drive, there is enough parking outside. Our stay at Haus am moos was one of our BEST stays in our Europe holiday. The room and baclony we had was fantastic, and my wife and I wished we could have stayed longer. The setting was serene and our hosts were really very nice and friendly people. The price was super too. Thanks for a good stay Walter!

Gorgeous location to stay! The entire site is nicely refurbished. Everything is in an Austrian style. The rooms (respectively apartments) are spacious and comfortable. Outside, a pool and space to relax are available in the well maintained garden. The well stocked breakfast buffet is included. Berchtesgaden and the centre of Salzburg are both a 15 minutes drive by car away. The surroundings are as picturesque as the hosts are friendly and caring. We'll be back the next time we're in the area!

You will be very happy you stayed here! The house and garden are beautiful, the amenities very comfortable especially considering the price, and the Strasser family is very kind and happy to see you. They help you plan your time in Salzburg as well, which is an easy bus ride up the street

Amazing accommodation just few minutes drive both from Salzburg or Berchtesgaden region. Hosts are very friendly and happy to advise you what to see and do around. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated, with huge bathroom and view to the garden. We stayed in the ground floor which was great as even during the warm days (35°C) it was quite cold there. Breakfast is served from 7.30 and it's super delicious. You can also use the outside swimming pool or just relax in garden, drink some wine or beer, enjoy the sun and view to the mountain tops. One of the friendlies places I've stayed so far.

Our stay at the Haus an Moos was wonderful. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet was also very good, with lots of choices of both sweet and savory. The "Haus" is located on the outskirts of Salzburg, but because it's not such a big city this isn't such a big problem. The center is reachable by both bus and car. If you go by car there are 2 big parking lots in the "Altstadt" A+B which are a great option if you stay longer in the city. They are normally quite expensive but if you eat in the city at one of the participating restaurants (almost all of them) they will stamp your ticket making it quite affordable. (4€ for up to 4 Hours and up to 8 Hours for 6€) The price was very good for what was offered. Our hosts were also very nice and accommodating. Definitely recommend.
