★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yes, Favoriten is gritty and yes, my former Austrian landlady warns against hanging out in the 10th in her delightfully informative — though unfortunately somewhat racist — blog, but this Bezirk warms the heart with displays of real Viennese life that pops and is neither sterile nor staged. (Well, it’s my landlady’s loss).
The welcoming Gunay restaurant, with its recognisably Viennese decor — strikingly confident bold colours, plush velvet seating and high ceilings — is a real asset to the Bezirk. Hearty fare served with authentic smiles in a family friendly setting. New family favourite.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is unassuming from the outside, but WOW the inside is just beau-ti-ful. Prices are not as fancy as the atmosphere suggests. Waiters super nice, food modern Turkish and super good. Can't wait to be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They offer iskender but I do not recommend it at all. It is not prepared properly. Bread is not crunchy, meat is cut in very small pieces and taste of the meat is not good. Souce is standard, nothing special. Otherwise the place is nicely designed and service is quick.
