A	A. A. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Früher haben wir den Paß oft benutzt. Seitdem der Tunnel in Betrieb ist, war ich lange Zeit nicht mehr dort. Der Grenzübergang stand nur noch provisorisch dort. Grenzkontrollen gab es vor 2 Jahren nicht. Wie es aktuell ist, weiss ich nicht. We used to use the passport a lot. I haven't been there for a long time since the tunnel started operating. The border crossing was only provisional there. There were no border controls two years ago. I don't know how it is currently.

Our GPS suggested this route in order to avoid 12 km Karawanken traffic build up, there was no signage on the roads whatsoever that the crossing was closed. We were denied entry alongside with anyone who took the same route and had to trace our steps back the entire way.
R	Rene Trescases on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice drive to avoid tunnel. We were warned by the friendly Austrian agent that the Slovenian agents might not allow us to pass (road is only for locals), but we didn't encounter any issues. Maybe we got lucky. It was a Monday, late morning.
