★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Kegelbahn ist nach längerer Zeit wieder offen, wunderbar! Hatten viel Spass mit unserem Junior zu seinem Geburtstag. Alle super unkompliziert und freundlich, und in Kombination mit der Volksoper ist dieses Cafe sowieso Legende. Wir kommen nun öfter.
PS: Die Lichtstimmung hätte noch Potential am Abend gemütlicher zu werden.
 The bowling alley is open again after a long time, wonderful! We had a lot of fun with our junior on his birthday. All super uncomplicated and friendly, and in combination with the Volksoper this cafe is a legend anyway. We come more often now.
PS: The lighting mood has the potential to become more comfortable in the evening.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Man muss wirklich nicht viel dazu sagen. Am besten selbst mal hinschaun und das FairLunch probiern. Finds eine grandiose Idee selbst bestimmen welchen Preis man für das Mittagsmenü zahlt und nebenbei auch 10% (bin mir nicht mehr sicher wieviel) an die Tafel Wien zu spenden :)
You really don't have to say much about it. It's best to take a look yourself and try the FairLunch. Find a great idea yourself, determine what price you pay for the lunch menu and also donate 10% (I'm not sure how much anymore) to Tafel Wien :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you must leave the Volksoper for the break, this is the place to go. Service is quick and efficient. This carefully renovated place looks almost the same as its legendary predecessor with all its 50's and 60's charm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very friendly staff, good food also if you're looking for typical austrian dishes.
I'm not a fan of pay-as-you-wish, but the lunch menu is really varied and makes my mouth water more often than not.
The cafe is situated right next to the Volksoper, so you can grab a drink or some food and watch the opera visitors while sitting outside on a street with nearly no traffic at all. Get a nice cold beer in summer or some mulled wine in the winter and enjoy.
