But the guy behind the bar was, who looked like he was the manager or something, was UTTERLY rude. We were with a group of 6 or 7 women but he blatantly didn’t not want to waist any energy on us. Waiting for ever to take our order and when he did, he didn’t want to be of any help. I live in Vienna so I know some people here can be a bit 'unhappy'. But this almost never happens.. Definitely WILL NOT GO BACK HERE AGAIN. Annemieke van Dam

The atmosphere as it is is quite nice and cozy, the service on the other hand was something else. The waiter was rude and arrogant, 40 min before their closing hours he suggested that is time for us to pay, drink up an leave. Meanwhile, he didn't even care to check on us and take our order. Inappropriate remarks considering our questions regarding the manu, felt unwelcomed. All in all wouldn't recommend, if yo don't want unpleasant experiences.
A	Adam Bixler on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Glasweise was hands down the best food me and my fiancé had during our stay in Austria. We happened upon this place by chance and were very glad that we did. The owner helped to translate much of the menu for us (we are non-German speakers) and he was incredibly helpful with recommendations and service. Not only were the portions perfect, but the service was impeccable and it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. If you’re in Vienna and want to escape the more touristy areas, please do yourself a favor and go to Glasweise - you won’t be disappointed.

We were treated like a special guests by the guy in a white shirt (I think this is the owner). The atmosphere was very romantic and cozy. We had creme soup with topinambour and duck, salad with duck and beetroot, and a classic Austrian goulasch. It tasted like heaven. We also was proposed to try the Austrian red wine, and we liked it a lot. In addition even the chef came out to us, because he is from Ukraine as we are. I mean, it is 10/5. We wish you long prosperity and to stand at that place not one dozen years. Thank you so much ! It made our last day in Vienna.

And it is located right next to the Volksoper and WUK. I'd say it is an insider tipp, because of its high quality and it is not so crowded.
