 The Gasthof Wallis is an absolute insider tip for cheese spaetzle. He has a reputation among insiders for serving the best cheese spaetzle in the country. A very hearty and spicy cheese mixture. The only downer, there is no potato salad (standard: mixed salad) as a side dish.

Die Bedienung war leider nicht ganz so freundlich und man hatte das Gefühl schnell abgefertigt zu werden. Lag aber vielleicht daran dass es schon später war.
Very large portions and tasty too. The price also fits. € 12.5 for the schnitzel is good.
The service was unfortunately not that friendly and you had the feeling of being processed quickly. But maybe it was because it was later.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was good but there were to many flies in the restaurant, so we could not eat a normal nice diner. Owner said this was normal, but we do not agree.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went as we were staying nearby for one night and there wasn't anywhere else to go. It was very nice though, staff were very accommodating of us not speaking and German and them not speaking any English, and even got a local to translate the menu for us. Food was also great. Be aware that they only accept cash (no card) although there is a cash machine a stone throw away (but that shuts at 6pm). Would recommend!

We did enjoy the "Schlachtteller".
This is a typical local speciality, only serve around 2 weeks end of September.
Excellent food in abundance, done in a real "home made" style
