Einmalig gutes Essen in sehr gepflegter und freundlicher Atmosphäre.
Schichlreit ist, selbst wenn man nicht grade in der Gegend ist, einen Besuch wert. Sie finden hier Klassiker wie Fiakergulasch oder Cordon Bleu, genauso auch Lamm (aus eigener Haltung) nach indischer Art, Steaks, Backhendl und ebenso hervorragende Süßspeisen.
Auch die Getränke-/Weinkarte darf sich sehen lassen.
Einfach mal hinfahren, das Lokal liegt sehr abseits an einer Loipe, und...
... Sehr gerne wiederkehren.

Uniquely good food in a very neat and friendly atmosphere.
Schichlreit is worth a visit even if you're not in the area. Here you will find classics such as Fiaker goulash or Cordon Bleu, as well as Indian-style lamb (from our own farm), steaks, fried chicken and equally excellent desserts.
The drinks/wine menu is also impressive.
Just drive there, the restaurant is very off the beaten path on a cross-country ski run, and...
... Very happy to return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant is located at the end of the road of a nice village. The food was very tasty and the service very friendly. The ambience was a bit luxurious for my taste but the place was full of families and happy people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful area, nice restaurant. Keep in mind there is often no mobile signal here at all, and when there is (it seemed to be very weather dependent), very limited. The best thing about this place, by far, is the excellent service. Our party was served tirelessly through the night by three efficient and ever-smiling staff.
The food was perfectly OK, though I can't really say I would go there primarily for that, or that it was worth the higher prices. As a very large party, we were given a deal on the food, but cordon bleu with potatoes was still 15 per plate. The cordon bleu was ok, but no better than what you'd normally pay 10 for. The small handful of rosemary potatoes that came with it were very good. Portion-wise, it's the kind of place where you'll probably need the starter and dessert too.
All in all, nice enough place but certainly overhyped.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful place up in the Mountains. It offers fine cuisine and high standard service without being posh or overpriced.
The food, especially the meat is of the highest quality and very well prepared. Only the burgers miss a little balance and lean on the meaty side. Do not miss to choose from the great selection of starters and the home made spirits and liquors.
Front of the house is very relaxed but never misses an empty glass. 1st class service. Highly recommend a visit!
