★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a most lovely stay at the hotel, the owner was very lovely and offered information about sightseeing and such. The room was huge, and perfectly equipped. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. I did not find anything negative whatsoever, I would be proud to recommend the Grüner Anger to anyone. My only regret is that we could not stay longer this time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice bed and breakfas in the quiet (especially after sunset), less touristy part of Hallstatt and yet a nice 10 minute walk to the historic city center. The rooms are furnished in a simple oldfashioned way and clean, the breakfast is very good and springbox beds are nice and firm, and one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. I was a bit annoyed that the window curtains passed the light through the first night/morning, only to figure out the next day that all windows actually have electric blinds that completely block out any outside light! A suggestion to the owners: maybe there should be a clearer indication new to the blinds switch or something. Anyway, I wholeheartedly recommend this accomodation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel's owner is very nice and helpful. The location is a bit far from the church but room is clean and comfy. Breakfast is good. There is no elevator so please ask for lower floor if you travel with a big baggage.

The breakfast had many varieties, they also offer dinner if you order it before hand for 14 euros (3 course meal) and they have a vending machine with drinks so you can serve your self whenever you need. The view from all sides is amazing each room has a nice view on the mountains or the lake. I absolutely recommend it ;)) and will definitely come back again

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Personal is kind, bedrooms are quite clean and comfortable. Very rich buffet breakfast, with both sweet and salty food. The hotel is not too far from the touristic center of Hallstatt and very near to a beautiful garden facing the lake. I would say that the quality/cost ratio is favorable, so I'd recommend Gruner Anger to anyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's super clean and I had the best sleep in my Europe trip. The host was also very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend it! We went on a snowy day and the place is very peaceful tranquil and calm amid the snow - beautiful place and unforgettable experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We quickly had to stop for a diaper change while the place was closed and our 4 month old baby was crying. We would have stopped for no more than 5 min. The owners kicked us out even though we explained the situation! This is not that’s the way to treat potential costumers and peoples in need. we will never go there in the future! Terrible experience and total lack of empathy!
