★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dining there second season. Started going there because it was the closest place to our chalet, but after trying other places in the village ended up going there almost every evening. Its nice cozy place with friendly staff, spacious enough so even when its crowdy you still enjoy their tasty dishes with comfort. Menu is good, it's not any kind of big menu with countless different plates, but it includes the basic traditional cuisine and we never felt out of choice about "what should we order today". I cant really suggest any special plate, they all are outstanding. The quantity (essential when you spent 7 non-stop hours racing on the slopes) is exactly what was expected and the prices are about the average for the village, maybe even a bit cheaper. Also, essential for me thing, service is fast, you start eating within minutes after your order. Definitely going to dine there again the coming season!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As we travel Europe we try not to eat at the same place twice. The Gasthof Grauer Bär restaurant broke that rule. Both meals were spectacular! The wild burger is incredible: venison, wild boar, Camembert, fig chutney, and red cabbage. A totally amazing combo of tastes and expertly prepared. The Farmer's salad was equally amazing (we all sampled it, it was so good). The service was impeccable and the place was humming with locals and skiers/snowboarders and everyone was having a good time. The wine pairings was expertly recommended and we loved the assortment of schnapps and appertifs. The meal was so good we didn't even snap a photo ? Bon Appetite!
