Simple and very good Austrian kitchen

No wifi, smoking rooms, nice reception

Great food and wine and hood atmosphere. Only dropped a star as they don't take cards. How very twentieth century!

Horrible food. The soup was salt, the pork was raw. Even prepared icecream from a shop was old and dried to the plate.

Quaint little restaurant. There seems to be only one waitress working even when things get very busy, however, backup did show up when someone showed up to take our orders. Admittedly, the wait was rather long from taking drink orders, to eventually ordering the meals (subjectively), although in all fairness it was getting busy as we showed up. It did not get better when things cleared out. Never-the-less the wait was long. Food quality and taste was average. Typical Austrian (farmer) style dishes. Dishes are massive, even from the small portion menu. Hearty and wholesome. During the summer time, house fly infestation [in your face, in your food, in your drink] comes free. There is a free, fresh salad bar with meals. Waitress was friendly and energetic, although our order was clearly taken after patrons who arrived after us (speakers of the native language, we were [mostly] not, although one of our group was). No thank you for the business after the cheque was paid [as the waitress hurried off] even though a thank you for the meal was extended by the patrons. I am honestly trying and want to give this restaurant higher reviews due to the family nature and genuine want for a fine dining experience (presumably), but I just can’t due to the above. Be warned, as of the time of writing, only cash is accepted for payment.
