S	Sabina Rigler on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Das Gasthaus ist urig eingerichtet. Die Speicherkarte bietet traditionelle Österreichische Küche und asiatische Gerichte. Hatte das asiatisch gewürzt Huhn mit Erbsen und Duftreis. Das war ausgesprochen lecker. Meine Begleiter haben verschiedene Gebackene Gerichte gegessen. Das war auch sehr lecker. Auch der Preis hat mich angenehm überrascht. Ich kann das Lokal nur wärmstens empfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Very friendly welcome. The inn is rustic furnishings. The memory card offers traditional Austrian cuisine and Asian dishes. Had the Asian spiced chicken with peas and rice. That was delicious pronounced. My companion ate various baked dishes. That was also very tasty. The price has pleasantly surprised me. I highly recommend the restaurant. We will come back.
W	Wagner Markus on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir wanderten im August 2021 durch die Johannesbach Klamm, nach 1 1/2 Stunden Wanderung hatten wir schon Hunger und suchten ein gemütliches Gasthaus. Einige Hinweistafeln wiesen uns zum "Alten Schlossteich", wir nahmen im freien unter einem schönen, schattigen Baum Platz. Das Essen war hat mich einfach überrascht, ich wäre mit einem Schnitzel oder Schweinsbraten zufrieden gewesen, nahm aber eine thailändische Suppe, super Würze und vom Geschmack ein Traum. Als Hauptspeise aß ich eine Nudelpfanne mit Gemüse aus dem Wok, auch hier wurde ich überrascht. Wir können dieses Gasthaus nur empfehlen. We hiked through the Johannesbach Gorge in August 2021, after 1 1/2 hours of hike we were already hungry and were looking for a cozy inn. Some information boards directed us to the "old castle pond", we took a seat in the open under a beautiful, shady tree. The food was just surprised me, I would have been satisfied with a schnitzel or roast pork, but I took a Thai soup, great seasoning and the taste was a dream. For my main course I ate a noodle pan with vegetables from the wok, here too I was surprised. We can only recommend this inn.
B	Brigitte Kapounek on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sehr gutes Essen, sehr schönes Lokal und sehr freundlicher und bemühter Chef. Liegt etwas abseits sollte man aber unbedingt besuchen. Very good food, very nice restaurant and very friendly and hard-working boss. Is a bit out of the way but you should definitely visit.

Wo wir ein leckeres und liebevolles Mittagessen genossen haben. Für uns, eines der Besten. Wir sehen uns wieder. The hike through the Johannes Bachklamm has paid off. A big piece further and you come to the inn: "Zum alten Schlossteich." Where we enjoyed a delicious and loving lunch. For us, one of the best. We'll meet Again.
E	Elisabeth Süss on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wer ein richtig gutes, österreichisches Gasthaus sucht, ist hier an der richtigen Adresse. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr gemütlich, heimelig und ansprechend. Man fühlt sich geborgen und das Essen schmeckt vorzüglich. Es wird alles frisch zubereitet und es ist für jeden Herzenswunsch etwas dabei. Typisch österreichische Gerichte, Saisonales und auch ein paar exotische Spezialitäten runden das Angebot ab. Die Angestellten sind sehr zuvorkommend und man fühlt sich wohl. Sie arbeiten sehr flink und fragen die Gäste auch zwischendurch, ob alles passt. Das finde ich toll. Die Umgebung ist wunderschön lädt zum Wandern auf den unzähligen Wanderwegen ein. Ein Besuch lohnt sich und wir kommen gerne wieder. Als Tipp am Rande: es ist eine gute Idee, vorher zu reservieren Anyone looking for a really good Austrian inn has come to the right place. The atmosphere is very cosy, homely and appealing. You feel safe and the food tastes delicious. Everything is freshly prepared and there is something for every heart's desire. Typical Austrian dishes, seasonal dishes and a few exotic specialties complete the offer. The staff are very accommodating and make you feel comfortable. They work very quickly and also ask the guests in between if everything is okay. I think it's great. The surrounding area is beautiful and invites you to go hiking on the countless hiking trails. It's worth a visit and we'd love to come back. As a side tip: it is a good idea to reserve in advance

I had a Pork roast, it was tender and juicy and absolutely worth the money. My Grandma normally orders the Schnitzel, the typical classic ordered at an Austrian restaurant. According to her, it's wonderfully made and I am inclined to agree. Service was friendly, almost like being greeted at home. I'll go back soon, hopefully! Visible in the added picture is the Burger they serve, a wonderful beefy monstrosity, where my Grandma saved half for dinner, as it was that big!
