Eigen parkeerplaats, ruim balkon, prima bed, veel privacy, goede bereikbaarheid. Negatief: Kleine details als: Kamer was kleiner dan verwacht, balkontafel had bamboe oppervlak waardoor glazen makkelijk omvielen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir haben vor zwei Wochen im Zuge einer Alpenüberquerung für eine Nacht im Auwitsch übernachtet. Was soll ich sagen? Die Hausdame war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Alles sauber, alles super, alles fein- gerne wieder!
We stayed at Auwitsch for one night two weeks ago while crossing the Alps. What can I say? The housekeeper was very nice and helpful. Everything is clean, everything is great, everything is fine - gladly again!

We stayed here when we were crossing the Alps. The room was very big, everything was clean. A nice balcony with deck chairs invites you to relax. Breakfast was delicious. A great place to stay for the price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my second stay here and am kicking myself. Run by a very cantankerous and grumpy old lady who believes guests should just put up and shut up. They speak only German which makes communication difficult but we get by as I have rudimentary German. Bookings on email are managed by someone (Sonja) working for them and while booking she never told me that the Souterrain Apartment is in fact a basement with windows looking into a dug out. We were going to arrive around 7:30 PM while they have ‘House rules’ that insist guests must arrive by 7:00. I emailed Sonja to say that unfortunately our flights were such that we would arrive at 7:30. She said that is not a problem. On arrival the lady’s first words (in German) that we were too late and this is not in order. I explained I had written to her secretary and she said that she hadn’t been informed about it and we should have come earlier! Anyway, she showed us our rooms (in the basement).
They switch off the main boiler at night and as a result the basement becomes very cold! I slept with a warm hat on! And oh, there is no hot water at night. Not till after 6:30 AM so you can’t shower if you want to early!
We had paid a deposit of about 25% (€400) and needed to pay the remainder. As per the published ‘House rules’ in every apartment and room this must be paid the day before departure. But the very next morning at 7:30 AM one of her employees started demanding we pay the rest right away! I told her that I will speak to Frau Kröll about it later and left. That evening (today, 20 min before writing this) I went to her to ask for a spare pillow. Her very irritated response was I already have three pillows and there are three guests so why should I ask for another! (Its only a pillow!) I had to explain that I needed it because my 4 yr old daughter was at risk of rolling off the bed and she relented. Then she charged that I hadn’t paid the rental. I explained that the ‘house rules’ said it had to be paid the day before departure and today is the second day of our 7 day stay and that is the only reason we hadn’t withdrawn the cash as I needed to pay in another 4 days. Her response, “I don’t care what the house rules say! I make the rules and you better pay me tomorrow morning!” I said I can pay it tomorrow evening as we would like to go skiing in the Morning to which she SHOUTED, “No, in the morning!” We finally did settle on tomorrow evening by some miracle.
Cheap accommodation and not far from the Penkenbahn. But be prepared to not be treated as guests. And the rules also forbid men from peeing standing up! I hope she’s not checking.
