★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food, cozy atmosphere, but only large tables so you sit with other people, and sometimes you get up so they could come and go. I think you can choose to wait if you don't want to sit with other people, but I don't know how it would really work.
Unless you come in a group of 6-8)
But again, service and dishes were very good, Austrian traditional menu, prices not expensive comparing to the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took another pitstop at St. Anton on our way back from Italy for a quick and early lunch. The bacon dumplings with chanterelles were nice and fluffy. The kaiserschmarrn was good too but a bit too sweet and reminded me of pancakes. Service was as always, friendly and delightful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great local food and atmosphere. Menu is quit limited, but it has great foods. Big tables you share with strangers, no reservations! Bigger groups should prepare to wait in the bar area.
Closed on Wednesday’s, plan your visit accordingly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had zander fillet (pike perch) and topfenstrudel (cheese strudel). Both were nicely prepared. The place has a countryside feel, which I enjoyed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The rating is for food only:
- Pork Wienerschnitzel - not good; dry and unimpressive.
- Schweinsbraten - borderline passable;
- Cheese crapes - unsatisfactory; chewy and piping hot straight from the microwave.
Overall a less than satisfactory performance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic authentic Tyrolean restaurant. We went twice during our week in St Anton. They don't take reservations but it's not a problem as they'll always fit you in and you can stand or sit at the bar whilst you wait. They're keen on sharing tables to get everyone seated and it aids the great atmosphere. It's busy for good reason.
If you're vegetarian there's a full page of options which is rare. The soups are a good option on starters and the hearty mains range from a trio of dumplings in brown butter, venison ragout, kassespatzl, steak etc. Ingredients are local. It's not a flashy place but is all the better for it
The owner is very welcoming and the staff were super friendly, on-the-ball and helpful.
