Beautiful statue of the poet who composed the famous 'Hymn to Joy' set to music by Beethoven for the 4th movement of the IX Symphony which became even more famous as a European anthem. It is located in the small square in front of the Metropol hotel. In the city there are other statues and sculptures intended as urban furniture.
