Tram station at Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof. Line D stops here, among others. Short route to the train station. But the audience at the train station is not so pleasant.

Often longer waiting times due to the many traffic lights and heavy traffic in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is probably the smallest and certainly the most ugly train station in Vienna.
But sometimes I like ugly.
Trains leave here for Klosterneuburg, Tulln and other rather insignificant places in Lower Austria but also for Czeske Budjevice.
In the old days one could board trains for Prague and even Dresden. If you had travel permits for the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, and the German Democratic Republic, that is.
