Einkehr in der "Himmelwand" dringend zu empfehlen: gute Küche mit allerlei Schmankerl. Lovely valley. Where the torrent rushes. Hiking to the end of the valley. Starting point for a beautiful, sometimes demanding hike. We strongly recommend a stop at the "Himmelwand": good cuisine with all kinds of delicacies.

Leider ist das Hotel geschlossen aber der Malerwinkel mit dem Kupfernen Buch ist einfach sehenswert. Es gibt auch die Möglichkeit vom Kötschachtal über den Höhenweg Bad Hofgastein zu erreichen, was mir auf Grund der Leichtigkeit der liebste Spazierweg ist. A wonderful excursion area. From here there are many opportunities for hiking. Unfortunately the hotel is closed but the painter's corner with the copper book is simply worth seeing. There is also the possibility to reach Bad Hofgastein from the Kötschachtal via the Höhenweg, which is my favorite walk due to its lightness.

The 1-hour drive to the end of the valley starts from the old hotel Grüner Baum, where you can enjoy local drinks and dishes in an ancient hut.

Das Essen , wir haben leider nur Topfenstrudel mit Vanillesauce gegessen, mangels Bargeld...bitte Bares mitnehmen. Am Ende des Tals kein Handyemofang, kein Internet. Sehr freundlicher Wirt. Sehr sauber, wir kommen wieder fantastic. After a hike of about 1 1/2 hours you arrive here. Cosy, friendly. The food, unfortunately we only ate curd cheese strudel with vanilla sauce, due to lack of cash... please take cash with you. At the end of the valley, no cell phone catch, no internet. Very friendly host. Very clean, we'll be back

Ein leider Bad Gastein typisches Bild! Nice walks or hiking stakes possible. It's a shame when you see the large "Grüner Baum" area and know how it used to be. A picture that is unfortunately typical of Bad Gastein!
