Beautiful marble sculpture positioned in the beautiful park just outside the town hall, in honor of Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller, a great Austrian painter and writer, specialized in portraits. Born in 1793, this great artist from the Viennese landscape has left many beautiful works to his credit, and is remembered here by this beautiful statue.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the interesting monuments at Rathausplatz in Vienna is Denkmal Ferdinand Georg Waldmuller, the marble statue of the early 19th-century painter and writer. The statue is the works of Austrian sculptor Josef Engelhart and was unveiled here in 1913.
Here you will see a marble sculpture of Waldmuller seated with a lady and child to his left. He appears to be looking over a notebook in his left hand and a quiver pen or brush lifted in his right hand. The statue sits upon a round pedestal with the inscription of the artists name.
