Have to ask permission to use the toilet - which we weren't allowed the key for because we shouldn't have been resting there. We had parked up to rest for a short while as we were on a 1200km trip, we hadn't set up camp or done anything to suggest we were moving into the car park because we weren't. We wanted to stay safe but she told us to leave and that you are not allowed to rest there even if you feel it unsafe to drive. Isn't that the whole point of service stations and rest areas? Why she feels it's better that we risk the death of ourselves or others by driving when exhausted is beyond me. Also why you can be refused access to the toilet is beyond me, good job I wasn't desperate or I would have had to go to the toilet outdoors for the world to see. We will be stopping on the return journey to place a formal complaint when there is more than one member of staff.
