★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una verdadera maravilla. Recomendable ir si estás visitando Bavaria. Hay rutas para caminar bastante sencillas y con unos paisajes sin igual. Sin duda uno de los sitios más bonitos en los que he estado. Hay un restaurante tradicional y una tienda de productos lácteos. Tienes lo necesario para pasar todo el día.
 A true wonder. It is recommended to go if you are visiting Bavaria. There are quite simple walking routes with unparalleled landscapes. Without a doubt one of the most beautiful places I have been. There is a traditional restaurant and a dairy shop. You have what it takes to get through the whole day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Eng und der große Ahornboden.. jetzt im Herbst immer wieder ein unglaubliches Erlebnis.. Inne halten und die Natur wirken lassen.. allerdings wird es schnell voll bei diesem Bilderbuchwetter, wenn man um 09:00 schon auf dem Rückweg ist, hat man das Tal noch fast für sich allein..
The Eng and the great Ahornboden .. now in autumn again and again an unbelievable experience .. pause for a moment and let nature take effect .. however, with this picture-perfect weather, when you are already on your way back at 09:00, you have it the valley almost to itself ...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wunderschön, Natur pur in Österreich. Ca. 45 km vom Tegernsee entfernt. Tolle Landschaft zum Wandern zu jeder Jahreszeit. Imner mal den Wetterbericht im Internet nachschauen..wegen Schneefall. Sehr zu empfehlen aber am Wochenende überlaufen besser unter der Woche. Immer ein Besuch wertxsuf dieser wunderschönen Alm
Beautiful, pure nature in Austria. Approx. 45 km from Tegernsee. Great landscape for hiking in every season. Always look up the weather report on the internet .. because of snowfall. Highly recommended but better crowded on weekends during the week. Always worth a visit to this beautiful alpine pasture

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Too touristy . Nice though for kids,they can pet the goats running around in the restaurant yard.
But you can have nice walks nearby too ,without paying the street entrAnce fee of around 5€ !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located in the Austrian part of the Karwendel and only be reached from Germany, the Eng Alm is worth travelling through. We came on bicycle and the route was very rewarding. Drinks and food are available at the Eng Alm, so is accommodation. Camping is not allowed, but there are enough options to camp out of sight.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a view and what a gorgeous place for hiking! Note that the last few kilometers to the nature reserve are toll road and even though it's in Austria, you can only access through Germany.
Remember to keep to the designated trails and take your trash back with you! Be mindful of the beautiful nature so it will last!
