★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Auf der Schmittenhöhe hat man nicht nur eine tolle Aussicht, hier findet man auch die Elisabethkapelle. Die Kapelle wurde im Jahr 1904 zum Gedenken an die österreichische Kaiserin Elisabeth (genannt Sisi) errichtet. Vier Jahre später, am 10. September 1908, erfolgte die Weihe zum zehnjährigen Todestag der Kaiserin. Offiziell ist die Kapelle der Heiligen Elisabeth von Thüringen geweiht. Die fünf herrlich gemalten Glasfenster, gestiftet von Gönnern der Kapelle, stellen die Elisabeth Legende dar. Der Innenraum lädt auch zum verweilen ein.
 On the Schmittenhöhe you not only have a great view, here you will also find the Elisabeth Chapel. The chapel was built in 1904 in memory of the Austrian Empress Elisabeth (known as Sisi). Four years later, on September 10, 1908, the consecration took place on the tenth anniversary of the Empress' death. The chapel is officially consecrated to St. Elisabeth of Thuringia. The five wonderfully painted glass windows, donated by patrons of the chapel, represent the Elisabeth legend. The interior also invites you to linger.
