★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Es befand sich stadtauswärts am Ende der Linzer Gasse am heutiger Beginn der Schallmooser Hauptstraße nach dem äußeren Ostertor, das später "inneres Linzertor", St. Sebastianstor oder Galgentor genannt wurde.
Es wurde unter Paris Lodron 1622 im Dreißigjährigen Krieg errichtet und 1867 abgetragen, weil man in der Gründerzeit die Lodronschen Wehranlagen wegen der angeblichen Behinderung des Luftaustausches und der Beeinträchtigung des Stadtklimas ablehnend gegenüber stand, und auch weil die Stadttore (angeblich) den Durchgangsverkehr behinderten.
 It was located out of town at the end of Linzer Gasse at today's beginning of Schallmooser Hauptstraße after the outer Ostertor, which was later called "inner Linzertor", St. Sebastianstor or Galgentor.
It was built under Paris Lodron in 1622 during the Thirty Years' War and dismantled in 1867, because in the early days of the establishment of the Lodron weir systems because of the alleged hindrance of air exchange and the impairment of the urban climate, and also because the city gates (allegedly) obstructed through traffic.
