Open space with park benches in the middle of Grinzing, ideal meeting place to visit one of the wine taverns together :)

Hengl studierte Landwirtschaft an der Universität für Bodenkultur, wo er 1917 mit der Dissertation "Versuche über Keimmüdigkeit" bei Leguminosen promovierte. 1935-1938 und 1958-1966 war er Präsident der Wiener Landwirtschaftskammer. Hengl war christlichsozialer Gemeinderat und von 1946 bis 1964 Vorsitzender des Wiener Gemeinderates.
Der Franz-Hengl-Park wurde nach ihm benannt.
Franz Hengl, * October 27, 1894, † May 17, 1968, agricultural economist, winegrower and politician, wife Maria Tobisch (1921).
Hengl studied agriculture at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, where he did his doctorate in 1917 with the dissertation "Experiments on germ fatigue" in legumes. 1935-1938 and 1958-1966 he was president of the Vienna Chamber of Agriculture. Hengl was a Christian Social Council and from 1946 to 1964 chairman of the Vienna Council.
The Franz Hengl Park was named after him.
