Very nice campsite on river bank of the Danube. Walking distance to supermarket and Krems. Good location for cycling along the Danube and visiting Stift Melk. Free Wifi on the pitches. Good and clean facilities.

On Sunday 12/08/2018 we have visited OAMTC camp in Krems an der Donau. We came on bicycles, after a long day of riding them with all our belongings packed on them, we were tired and really looking forward to get some rest. In was a hot afternoon. When we arrived into a camp we were offered with the very worst place for our tent inthe whole camp (a small sunny spot near reception where one has to deal with people passing right next to his belongings during the whole day). I have repeatedly asked personell of a camp for a different spot. Note that we just had a small tent that fits basically anywhere. Even a place that seemed bit better and was labelled as meant for turists on bikes was forbidden to us and the label was removed in front of us. Personell of the camp was arrogant, because they knew that we just have few choices of camps being on bikes. We did not understand why they were so unrespectful and impolite. We also do not understand why the camp does not value cyclists better, because when one computes how much we pay per square meter, it is definitely more than people in caravans. In the end we left the camp immediately and returned into a 7kms distant camp elsewhere.

This is not a great campsites for tents, tiny camp area with little shade. Only stayed here because there are not many options for camping in the vicinity. Facilities are good. seemed a little understaffed as everyone was waiting to check in and be served at the café.

Separate tent area. Covered picknick tables for those wet days, which as a cyclist I am very fond of. Staff heated a common room for the colder evening, without even asking. Nice! WiFi incl.

Excellent campsite. This is the one I will judge others by. Less than a mile from town centre and station, it is quite small and can often be booked out. There is an area reserved for tents which is beautifully flat and mown and close to the amenities. Sturdy tables are available for campers with their own food and drink. Fridges are also available in the 'day room' to keep your drinks cold and foodstuffs fresh. The staff are friendly and courteous. The amenities clean and and adequate. I don't think I was bitten by mosquitoes or other nasties during the week I was there. If there is anything to criticize, it is the website and lack of opening time info. As the hours are quite short I have added a picture of those. I recommend this campsite, especially if you're in a tent.

Yes, the place is very well managed and spotlessly clean. However, the owners were unwelcoming, unfriendly, unhelpful and uninterested. The place was carefully designed not to have a single power outlet available for campers, heaven forbid, they might charge their phones! It was also expensive at 23 euros for 2people and a hiking tent.

Clean and nice Camping place, as you see on the map of course a lot of car noises, but if you directly to the Danube almost not hearable. Prices are totally fine for Austria so near to the city of Krems, If You wanna save money check if your car club membership, camping club and co is accepted. A lot of people stay here just for one or two nights, as this is the beginning of the beautiful area of wachawia, or Waldviertel or just to stop on a nice convenient place in direction Adriatic sea. There is a supermarket right across the street. A gas station with cheaper prices for food than in regular gas stations(Sunday everything is closed in Austria) So have fun and a wonderful stay.

Very nice staff, clean and well equipped camping (even grilling was possible). A bit crowded. The few tent pitches are next to the toilets and the information point which we didn't find a good (quiet) solution.
