Came today, 06.09.2019, at around 10:20 -10:30 a.m., there was a guy at the doors blocking the entrance who said, “it’s not working today, come next week” (it’s Wednesday). The lights inside were on.

Great permanent exhibition with historic and sacral art, and the current exhibition Family matters is excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff.

No ift available (out of service) , a stairway to heaven for old people... But it has a resting room (important), even if it’s downstairs. A lot of “modern” art, but poor in old works.

This museum was relatively small and did not have a lot of exhibits, The exhibits they have were nice but definitely not worth the admission price. I would not go here again unless I was holding a city pass or other discounted admissions pass

The Archbishop's Cathedral and Diocesan Museum was founded on the initiative of Cardinal Theodor Innitzer and opened on 3 June 1933 in rooms of the Archbishop's Palace. In 1973, the museum moved to the Zwettlerhof (Stephansplatz 6), and from the mid-1980s onwards, further premises were adapted for museum operations. From 2010 to 2015 it was called "Dommuseum", and since 1 August 2015 the official name has been "Dom Museum Wien". In May 2012, the museum was closed for reconstruction and conceptual realignment. Since March 2013, the Viennese art historian Johanna Schwanberg has been the director of the Dom Museum Wien. In 2020, the museum was awarded the Austrian Museum Prize.

A. MUST. SEE for anyone who has an hour to spare at the most interesting, clean, air-conditioned, and faithful museum of modern art juxtaposed with religious relics and expressions (some of which are from the year 400)! What a beautiful treat. Get the audio guide for a beautiful enhanced visit.
