Can be reached with a nice hike, great barbecue area and interesting ruin.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die (Burg) Ruine Sigberg als Ausflugsziel ist unserer/meiner Meinung nach etwas, dass als "Ausweichprogramm" für Kinder gut geeignet ist.
Der Parkplatz ist gut zu erreichen und es finden sich immer genügen Parkmöglichkeiten (da nicht überlaufen).
Der Weg zur und von der Ruine Sigberg ist für Besucher/innen ohne körperliche Einschränkungen gut zu bewältigen.
Der Fußmarsch (wenn man ihn so bezeichnen möchte) ist wohl in ca. 30min. bewältigbar.
Je nach dem wie sehr (die) Kinder die Umgebung erkunden (dann ist die Zeit nach oben hin eh offen).
Die Ruine Sigberg liegt ringsum im Wald verborgen, was den Reiz für Kinder ausmacht.
Bei/in der Ruine Sigberg können Kinder die Mauer-/Burgreste (Mauerwerk) erkunden und sich ihrer Fantasie "hingeben".
Highlights mit einen ultimativen "WOW-Effekt" darf man nicht erwarten.
Hier werden Kinder keiner "Reizüberflutung" ausgesetzt wie bei sonstigen kommerziell erschlossenen Ruinen, Burge, Parks udgl.
Was nicht bedeutet, dass man hier nicht schöne Erinnerungsfotos bzw. Erinnerungen machen/sammeln kann.
Der Grillplatz (wenn man ihn so nennen möchte) unterhalb der Ruine Sigberg war im Juli 2021 in einem eher ungünstigem Zustand.
Hier besteht/bestand doch Handlungsbedarf um ihn in einen für Familien annehmbaren Zustand zu versetzen (liegt wohl daran, dass das Ausflugsziel kein so ein "Hotspot" ist).
Wie Eingangs erwähnt ist die (Burg) Ruine Sigberg unserer/meiner Meinung nach etwas für ein kurzentschlossenes Ausweichprogramm inkl. "kleinem" Spaziergang.
The (castle) ruin Sigberg as a destination is in our / my opinion something that is well suited as an "alternative program" for children.
The parking lot is easy to reach and there is always enough parking space (as it is not overcrowded).
The way to and from the Sigberg ruin is easy to manage for visitors without physical limitations.
The walk (if you want to call it that) is about 30 minutes. manageable.
Depending on how much (the) children explore the area (then the time is open to the top anyway).
The Sigberg ruin is hidden in the forest all around, which is what makes it so attractive for children.
At / in the Sigberg ruins, children can explore the remains of the wall / castle (masonry) and "indulge" their imagination.
You shouldn't expect highlights with the ultimate "WOW effect".
Here children are not exposed to "overstimulation" as in other commercially developed ruins, castles, parks and the like.
Which does not mean that you cannot take / collect nice souvenir photos or memories here.
The barbecue area (if you want to call it that) below the Sigberg ruins was in a rather poor condition in July 2021.
There is / was a need for action to put it in a condition that is acceptable for families (probably because the destination is not such a "hotspot").
As mentioned at the beginning, the (castle) ruin Sigberg is in our / in my opinion something for a spontaneous alternative program including a "short" walk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Burgruine ist ein schönes Ausflugsziel, der Grillplatz ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, hinter der Burg ein Bild der Zerstörung - der Wald ist gerodet, das kleine Tal aufgefüllt mit Aushubmaterial, warum sowas von unseren Behörden zugelassen wird versteht wahrscheinlich niemand...
The castle ruins are a nice excursion destination, the barbecue area is getting a bit old, behind the castle a picture of destruction - the forest has been cleared, the small valley filled with excavated material, probably nobody understands why something like this is allowed by our authorities ...
