A	A. Gadient on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Es erinnerte mich beinah etwas an englisches Understatement, das Denkmal an Kaiserin Elisabeth (Sissi) in Bad Gastein. An den Felsen gestellt die Platte mit Abdeckung, ihr Gesicht als Relief dargestellt und ein Text an ihre sechs Besuche in Bad Gastein erinnernd. Doch anderseits ist es doch stimmig, den Elisabeth als Statue an dieser Stelle dargestellt, hätte wohl etwas deplaziert gewirkt. Statuen von ihr findet man mehrere in Wien und eine in Salzburg. Sissi, ein Film der mit seiner Namensgebung seinerzeit mit Romy Schneider in der Rolle von Kaiserin Elisabeth Furore machte, war prägend dafür dass ihr posthum ein Kosename zukam, der bis anhin kaum bekannt war. Die Kaiserin welche aus Bayern stammte, fühlte sich in der rauen Bergwelt anscheinend wohl, mehrere Gedichte die sie hier verfasste, belegen die Gefühle, die sie hier hegte. Das schlichte des Gedenksteins wird ihr wohl gerecht, wenn man ihre Lyrik liest. Der Ort, welcher die Belle Epoque zelebrierte, war die Abwechslung zu seiner Umgebung und mit seinem brausenden Wasserfall mittendrin zugleich das vereinende Moment. Mit diesen Gedanken, auch die Promenade ist Kaiserin Elisabeth gewidmet, sehe ich das Denkmal nun im Lichte seiner Zeit, eine historische Reverenz. Immer nett gepflegt mit einem Meer bunter Blumen. I love the Empress Elisabeth Promenade in Gastein and go there again and again like to walk. Beautiful nature and very nice monument. Always nice cared for with a sea of colorful flowers.
