P	Peter Eiter on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Shaky Show war aussergewöhnlich, die Bedienung war Ok. Leider ist der Wirt nicht sehr freundlich. Ausserdem wurde eine Kellnerin von ihm vor den Gästen lautstark gemassregelt. Das muss nicht sein. The Shaky Show was exceptional, the waitress was ok. Unfortunately, the host is not very friendly. In addition, a waitress was loudly regulated by him in front of the guests. That does not have to be.

H	Helmut Beranek on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gleich zu Anfangs: Wir waren erst EINMAL im Davis. Das Lokal selbst ist ein wenig weit vom Schuss, was für die Parkplatzsuche durchaus angenehm sein kann und war. Nach ein paar Stufen abwärts kommt man in ein wenig verrauchtes Ambiente mit Gasthauscharakter. Sehr breite Alterspalette der Besucher von 18-über 50 war alles da. Personal (Mädchen) war unaufdringlich, natürlich und dem Rahmen entsprechen freundlich. Essen war jetzt nicht so das Hauptaugenmerk des Hauses - was man auch deutlich schmeckte - aber - wie gesagt - deshalb kommt man ja nicht her. Wäre die Band so gut gewesen, wie sie laut war - könnten sie eine Amerikatour ins Auge fassen - war sie aber leider nicht, aber auch dafür kann das Davis nichts. Selektiver bei der Auswahl der Bands zu sein, würde gleichbedeutend sein, den jungen keine Chance zu geben besser vor Publikum zu performen. Ist also ein zweischneidiges Schwert. Alles in allem ist das Davis ok und ich bin froh dass es nach dem sperren der Soulveranda doch noch andere Musiklokale in Wien gibt. (Es gibt "Gott sei Dank" wieder viele davon. ------------ Zweiter Besuch des Davis. Ein Stern mehr, für eine wirklich gute Band, die im Davis zu Gast war: "Flamoo" (hoffentlich habe ich den Bandnamen richtig geschrieben) Right at the beginning: We have only been to the Davis ONCE. The restaurant itself is a bit out of the way, which can and was quite pleasant when looking for a parking space. After a few steps down, you come to a somewhat smoky atmosphere with the character of a guest house. Very broad age range of the visitors from 18 to over 50 everything was there. Staff (girls) were unobtrusive, natural and friendly according to the framework. Eating wasn't the main focus of the house - which you could definitely taste - but - as I said - that's not why you come here. Had the band been as good as they were loud - they could consider an American tour - but unfortunately they weren't, but Davis can't help that either. To be more selective when choosing bands would mean not giving the youngsters a chance to perform better in front of an audience. So it's a double-edged sword. All in all, Davis is ok and I'm glad that after the Soulveranda has been closed there are still other music venues in Vienna. (Thank God there are many of them again. ------------ Second visit to Davis. One more star for a really good band that was a guest at Davis: "Flamoo" (I hope I spelled the band name correctly)
M	Mario vanderWart on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Befindet sich im Untergeschoss des Einkaufszentrum Grossfeldsiedlung. Zugang über Treppe direkt vom Parkplatz aus ist etwas unscheinbar. An der Bar beim Eingangsbereich dürfte wohl das Rauchen erlaubt sein. Da räumlich nicht abgetrennt, zieht es den Rauch auch nach vorne zum Bühnenbereich. Einrichtung ist ganz ok, nichts abgenutztes erkennbar. It is located in the basement of the Grossfeldsiedlung shopping center. Access via stairs directly from the parking lot is a bit inconspicuous. Smoking should be allowed at the bar near the entrance. Since it is not spatially separated, the smoke is also drawn forward to the stage area. Furnishing is ok, nothing worn can be seen.

Außerdem wurde ich "nett" abgewiesen, als ich einen Toast bestellen wollte mit der Info, dass sie dann später gesammelt die Essensbestellungen aufnehmen, damit sie alles auf einmal dem Koch weitergeben können... Nach einer dreiviertel Stunde habe ich dann nachgefragt und mir wurde gesagt, dass der Toast mittlerweile aus ist...achja Leitungswasser ist leider auch aus... Aber eine nette Bigband hat gespielt. Although it is a non-smoking place, the head waiter smokes. After 45 minutes I asked about it and got it I said that the toast is now over ... oh yes, tap water is unfortunately also over ... But a nice big band played.
