At the begining I was a bit concerned that despite being considered „easy“ the hike could be too heavy for me. Actualy, it was perfect! Karin was guiding the group, but simultaneously encouraging us to enjoy the environment and the views. I can only recommend her services, and plan to repeat it, myself.

She was very patient with us when we needed to take breaks and allowed us to take as much time as we needed. I highly recommend choosing her as your tour guide if you are ever in Austria!

Karin did a great job in answering questions ahead of time so we could be prepared on the hike, and she shared her background and how she started her business, which was both fun to hear and made us feel comfortable traveling with her. She was very in tune with making sure the pace of the hike was okay, and let us stop to take lots of photos. There was even an opportunity to try local wine when the hike was finished. All in all, this was an incredible experience and we highly recommend it or any excursion with Karin!

Saturday’s Hobbit Hike through the hills, woods and pasturelands surrounding the village of Michelbach, 45 minutes NW of Vienna, was as lovely as Karin’s website suggested. With Karin as our host and guide, our group of 5 (from Austria (2), Brazil, (2) and the US (1)) really clicked. And we alternated between enjoying fresh air, lovely farmland, woods and fun conversations. These trail chats formed and reformed — in the easy way that only hiking permits. Karin was a warm, well-organized, and easy-going host. I look forward to more trips with her, as a great way to explore the Austrian countryside and to make new friends.
