★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vánoční trhy doporučuji navštívit v pátek, kdy není v Salzburgu tolik turistů. Pokud přespáváte ve městě, vyplatí se zakoupit Salzburgcard, která platí i na lanovku vedoucí na pevnost Hohensalzburg.
Christmas markets are recommended to visit on Friday when there are not so many tourists in Salzburg. If you are sleeping in the city, it is worth buying Salzburgcard, which also applies to the cable car leading to the Hohensalzburg fortress.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Salzburg in general is the cleanest and nicest city I have ever visited. People are very friendly and polite. Stunning scenery and plenty to do. Food was lovely. Visited for a day whilst visiting Munich from Scotland. Would highly recommend a visit to this beautiful city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The government office is very rude. We stopped our car there by mistake to put a new destination on the navigation system, and some rude guy came to yell at us. We then said we were leaving and he proceeded to yell at us in English too for good measure. Very bad manners. There are gentler ways to get a message across. Gives this beautiful country a bad look. Leaving quickly before some more government officials come to yell at us. They should barricade the entrance of the building so no more disoriented tourist cars come in by mistake.
