★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In short - it was our closure evening of our trip abroad; couldn't be better!! The owner, who is a one man show, plays all the rolls just perfectly : starters, main dishes, dessert, all of it cooked, made, served by himself. Each and every one delicious by itself!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On my way back from Turracher, I stopped by Cantina Istriana for a short break. What a surprise to have quality foods there! For anyone visiting Cantina Istriana, make sure to have some deserts. Panacotta was one of great ones. Surely I will try more dishes there from now.
The second visit: I tried more dishes. Each one was great with vivid flavor of ingredients. It is becoming my favourite place to visit after a visit to Turracher.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was the only place where we found an available table and we had an amazing food experience! Great fish, great pasta and an exceptional medium steak. And the tiramisu, the real, original taste, just delicious. Is really under rated place that deserves a better promotion.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lousy service. Sat down, had to ask for a menu, nobody came to ask me if I wanted something to eat or drink, after 10 minutes got up and left. Might have good food but I guess I will never know
Sooo. The owner has responded, and dishonestly... I got there around 7.30 as it was not long after spar up the road closed. Nobody said the kitchen was closed, this is an outright lie. You had 6 guests.... Do I really need to book ahead? Are you so incapable of operating a restaurant that you can't accommodate a party of 1. I waited almost 10 minutes.
Main message: it's your business, I post a review to help you make it better. If you don't want to and want to keep the low standard you currently have, that's your choice. ?
