Nice little lake open to public, friendly staff. Sanitary in general not very clean. Gastwirtschaft simple but very friendly.

Our first trip to Austria, and our first campsite here. Campsite number 30 of this 8 week trip. We had the misfortune to meet the "chief" who had to show us where we were "allowed" to pitch. He did so with a glare, a grunt, and not a word of welcome, in any discernible language. After checking in we found out that dogs and their owners are forbidden to even approach the lake. We decided not to stay. Hope not all the campsites in Austria are like this, or we shall keep on driving and spend our Euros elsewhere.

Arrived to be greeted by a very pleasant young lady ? We said we have 2 dogs and she said that we would have to camp on the left side of the site....fine....we checked in. She said she would get the 'chief' to show us to our pitch. He came along and without a word and a glare ?, mounted a mo-ped ?and we dutifully followed and parked up where he pointed ?. He had no smile nothing ??. I walked to the toilet block which sat between between the 'dog friendly' and 'not so dog friendly' side...with a large fence between ⛩️. Now, the lake was on the other side of the fence and all hopes of sitting there with our dogs were dashed when I saw a sign saying 'no dogs' ?. Oh, the toilets were pretty grim too ?. We went to the reception to the young lady and explained that one reason we wanted to stay was because of the lake, she said it is not possible because some people don't like dogs! Needless to say, we left! I think had the sour faced man on the mo-ped been friendlier (after all, we are in HOLIDAY!!), We may have stayed for one night. It was our first experience of an Austrian campsite (first day here) and we are hoping that we have better luck for the duration of our stay!

The lake itself is very nice to enjoy a swim in crystal clear waters with fish around your toes. The place is calm and peaceful. However, the owner is not very welcoming and we did not receive a receipt for our stay. He also did not inform us about the checkin and checkout times. Therefore we had to pay more than expected. At checkout we also should have showed him the confirmation for the payment of the depot for the bathroom keys. Which again, we were not informed about when checking in. I would not recommend this place since the bathrooms are also old, dark and not very clean.

The lake: It's clean, calm, warm. The beach: clean, small but nice, white small sand, artificially put on a shore, to make water entrance easy. Beautiful green lawn near the lake. The camp: clean, with shades, grass, enough space, calm and quiet. For kids: football, ping pong tables, bike riding. Kind and helpful owners. Toilets: are the only drawback. They are old and not particularly clean. Some fresh smell wouldn't hurt. Toilets leave room for improvement. Maybe a bit expensive.

Nice camping, with a grass field besides the lake. Also nice restaurant with big terrace. Friendly staff. Douches, toilets all sufficient in numbers and clean. No ATM to pay the camping, cash only.

To cycle to Wörthensee, Klagenfurt, is very easy and about 9 km. The camp is very well managed and maintained. The bathrooms are very need with more than enough hot water. There are also more than 1 washing machine. The lake is very clean and has stones when you enter it, no mud or grass. A very peaceful atmosphere. The Restaurant has a very nice menu with good service and not so many demands. In Klagenfurt you must have your vaccination certificate or PCR test result with your or you must have Take away. You can have a free test at various stations in town ... from October you need to pay for your test.
