M	Mees Koudijs on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hier op doorreis 2 nachten geslapen. De meest gastvrije eigenaresse die je je kunt voorstellen. Begroette ons meer dan hartelijk, legde alles duidelijk uit en liet merken dat ze het leuk vond dat we er waren. Komen wel gezinnen op af, dus als je voor de échte rust en stilte komt is het misschien slimmer om door te zoeken. Faciliteiten wat gedateerd maar wel schoon. Groot zwembad! Stayed here for 2 nights while traveling. The most hospitable owner you can imagine. Greeted us more than warmly, explained everything clearly and showed that she enjoyed having us there. Families do come, so if you come for the real peace and quiet, it might be smarter to keep looking. Facilities a bit dated but clean. Big swimming pool!

Met een caravan is de weg er naartoe best spannend omdat de camping halverwege de berg is gelegen en de weg behoorlijk smal is. Tegemoetkomend verkeer moet op kleine vluchthavens wachten maar soms rijden er ook grote vrachtwagens uit de bosbouw naar boven of beneden en dan wordt het spannend. Gelukkig is het geen drukke weg. Alleen bestemmingsverkeer. Het sanitair is netjes en wordt redelijk goed schoongehouden. Douches zijn heerlijk warm en zonder muntjes. Toiletten hebben wc-papier. De ontvangst door de eigenaresse en haar schoondochter is ontzettend hartelijk. Ook de correspondentie tijdens het reserveren liep heel vlot en de vrouwen zijn heel hulpvaardig. Op de camping verkopen ze ook verse pizza’s en kleine hapjes tegen een redelijke prijs. ’s-Morgens kun je bij de bakker die om klokslag 07.30u. hard toeterend de camping oprijdt, broodjes kopen. De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is goed. Wij betaalden in augustus met 2 personen met een caravan ongeveer € 27,00 per nacht. Voor de wat meer interessante bergwandelingen moet je wel in Greifenburg of Spittal an der Drau zijn. Dat is wel 15 tot 30 min. autorijden. Dat vonden wij best jammer dat je steeds de auto moet pakken. Al met al een mooie camping. This campsite is a pleasant, neat and quiet farm campsite with an incredibly beautiful view. With a caravan the road to it is quite exciting because the campsite is located halfway up the mountain and the road is quite narrow. Oncoming traffic has to wait at small refuges, but sometimes large trucks from the forestry also drive up or down and then it gets exciting. Fortunately it is not a busy road. Only destination traffic. The sanitary facilities are neat and kept fairly clean. Showers are wonderfully warm and without coins. Toilets have toilet paper. The welcome by the owner and her daughter-in-law is very warm. The correspondence during the reservation also went very smoothly and the women are very helpful. At the campsite they also sell fresh pizzas and small snacks at a reasonable price. In the morning you can go to the bakery that opens at 7:30 am. honking loudly into the campsite, buying sandwiches. The value for money is good. We paid in August with 2 people with a caravan about € 27.00 per night. For the more interesting mountain hikes you have to be in Greifenburg or Spittal an der Drau. That is a 15 to 30 minute drive. We thought that was a shame that you always have to take the car. All in all a nice campsite.

At peak season you need to make a reservation if you want to stay on the site itself, otherwise you'll end up just outside on a field with a beautiful view over the valley but a little walk to the restrooms. Campsite is wel maintained and, owners are friendly and helpful. Dinners at the bar are basic and cheap.
