★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful restaurant inside Burg Forchtenstein serving delicious Austrian food. Ingedients are sourced locally. Very well designed and comfortable interior! Go there for a coffee or meal after a Burg tour!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most beautiful place and landscape seen before. Local is modern and cozy for couples and family groups too. Nice lights and gentle personnel. Both soups were so delicious and the creamy one was perfect and would like to get 3 more plates. Saltinbocca were good and I would like to suggest to put the the creamy soup with chicken saltinbocca instead the spinach risotto (as we use in Italy). Roastbeef was cooked perfectly like the sausage. Salad very fresh and total price in line with the environment! I will be back

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice lunch with spectacular surroundings. I missed the entire view though, because our spot outdoors had only a tiny window in the castle's wall looking over the valley, and the rest of the view was a courtyard. Well, the view one seeks is available if you go up the stairs, but there are no tables there. The food was quite good with some extras, and at a very moderate price. Friendly service. Concerning foods: I personally missed somehow the whole atmosphere of knighthood of the past centuries, some dishes of deer/boar/wild duck, or a kind of meat pie, mushrooms, etc. It was way too modern, in my opinion.
