★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Burg Blankenberg ist die Ruine einer Hangburg bei Neufelden im Mühlviertel. Das ehemalige Burgareal liegt in der Nähe des Bahnhofs Neufelden im Ortsteil Unternberg hoch oberhalb der Großen Mühl.
Es wird angenommen, dass die Burganlage um 1100 erbaut wurde. Die Geschichte berichtet, dass die Burg während einer Hochzeit zwischen den Blankenbergern und Tannbergern ein Raub der Flammen wurde und danach mit Ende des 13. Jahrhunderts verfiel und verödete.
Im Unterholz und von dichtem Pflanzenwuchs verborgen finden sich heute noch eine Anzahl von Mauerresten welche die Burg einst umfassten und harren auf deren Entdeckung.
 Blankenberg Castle is the ruin of a hillside castle near Neufelden in the Mühlviertel. The former castle area is located near the Neufelden train station in the Unterberg district high above the Große Mühl.
It is believed that the castle complex was built around 1100. History tells that the castle fell into flames during a wedding between the Blankenbergers and Tannbergers and then fell into disrepair and deserted at the end of the 13th century.
Hidden in the undergrowth and by dense vegetation, there are still a number of remains of the wall that once surrounded the castle and are waiting to be discovered.
