The employees of the traffic office are very unfriendly and after waiting 25 minutes without anyone entering / leaving the office, I was snapped at without a greeting, normal conversation or a smile from all employees in the open-plan office, saying that if I signed too big I wouldn't get a driver's license anyway. I hope I never have to enter this building again!

It would be desirable to mention on the homepage that you can't get in without an appointment! We stood in front of the door, no entry possible despite a call! Although only one application would have to be submitted! very annoying!

1 star because the website doesn't say you have to make an appointment. So I drove here unnecessarily. It's a pity that the spread of Austria is so far behind in digitization.

Calling is pointless because you don't get any information and are only connected indefinitely! Even the simple question of whether I need an appointment or whether I could come by directly could not be answered! So I drove to the LPD in Graz to hear there, admission only with an appointment which I had to make by phone. When asked about the complaints office, the only answer was THERE IS AN EMAIL ADDRESS....lol

These people who work in there are overwhelmed by just one call. Immediately you start connecting again until at some point no one answers and you are forced to hang up by yourself! Every cent that is paid from my tax money for such employees hurts.

We were refused service from the polizei in parkring 4 . The lady in the reception refused to give an appointment/token stating that " no one understands English and i must bring a translator ". This kind of treatment is unacceptable . It was a horrible experience.

It took them 7 months to change my Australian licence to an Austrian one. The public servant who served me told me four months max. They don't care if you need your licence for work, they were just rude and laughed at me. The only option to get it in a normal time frame is to pay 300 euros more to get it done faster.. apparently there is just one person reviewing the licences and if you pay he/she more money he/she will put your application on top ( corruption much?) When we called the office again, they said oh yer it's here ( like it had been sitting there the last few months but didn't bother to send it). Then they told us I would have to do a practical test. When we said that online the rules says Australians don't need to do any practical tests then they said "ok we will send it then". So unprofessional. It's public service one could expect in a Banana Republic. If you can go don't go here to swap your licence. I've heard in other cities and towns the service is much better.

I’m American and went in to get my Austrian Drivers license today and went in door #3 and the man was so rude and told me the opposite of what is stated on the website. I took some German classes and was trying to speak and he said next time bring someone that speaks German in English. And I said yes, that will be my husband. What horrible service and treatment of people, but from the reviews it seems they treat many people like this…how sad, I’ve dealt with many public officials in my life from many countries and in Austria I’ve experienced the worst.
