Wandmalereien und eine ansehnliche Eingangstüre sowie das Schloss dürften doch ein erhebliches Alter aufweisen. Während der Altar in einem gotischen Baukörper untergebracht ist, scheint der hintere Kirchenbau jünger zu sein und ist mit einer Holzdecke versehen. Obwohl die gotische Pieta eine Seltenheit darstellt, kann sie aus nächster Nähe angesehen werden. A particularly beautiful church in a great setting. Even the outer shape shows the specialty of this church. Wall paintings and a handsome entrance door as well as the castle are likely to be of considerable age. While the altar is housed in a Gothic structure, the rear church building appears to be younger and has a wooden ceiling. Although the Gothic pieta is a rarity, it can be seen up close.

Auch wenn die Ausstattung in der Barockzeit erneuert wurde, so sind auch noch die romanischen und gotischen Elemente zu erkennen. Nachdem die Kirche außerhalb von Bischofshofen liegt und nicht so oft geöffnet ist, hält sich der Besucherandrang in Grenzen. Hiermit wird der ausdrückliche Dank an Gerald M. ausgesprochen, welcher mir die Besichtigung ermöglichte. The church impresses with its location, but also with its age. Even if the furnishings were renewed in the baroque period, the Romanesque and Gothic elements can still be seen.
