Der selbstgemachte Apfelmost war richtig super, der Wirt scheint ein Unikat, der Gasthof ein Sammelsurium an interessanten Gegenständen. Aus der Küche riecht es wunderbar, es wird alles komplett frisch gekocht. Leider haben wir keinen Hunger mit gebracht. Die steile Auffahrt mit dem Fahrrad lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Didn't eat anything, just drank something. The homemade apple cider was really great, the landlord seems unique, the inn a hodgepodge of interesting objects. The kitchen smells wonderful, everything is completely freshly cooked. Unfortunately we weren't hungry. The steep ascent by bike is definitely worth it.
P	Patricia Hubauer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolut köstlich, gehobene Hausmannskost ohne Zusatz von Geschmacksverstärkern, Fleisch war auf dem Punkt, Geschmack war unvergleichlich und grandios. Mit nichts vergleichbar wo wir bisher in der Gegend waren. Der Chef ist Hobbykoch aber mit Leib und Seele und man spürt die Liebe zu den Lebensmitteln. Es wird saisonal gearbeitet und daher gibt es auch keine Speisekarte, das was da ist wird gekocht, TOP!!!! Vom Lokal her fragt man sich zuerst wo man hier gelandet ist, aber spätestens wenn das Essen vor einem steht, bereut man die Entscheidung nicht geblieben zu sein!!!! Absolutely delicious, upscale home cooking without the addition of flavor enhancers, meat was on point, taste was incomparable and terrific. With nothing like where we have been in the area so far. The boss is a hobby cook but with heart and soul and you can feel the love for the food. It is seasonal and therefore there is no menu, what is there is cooked, TOP !!!! From the restaurant you first ask yourself where you ended up here, but at the latest when the food is in front of you, you regret the decision not to have stayed !!!!

Personen-Gruppen sollten sich deshalb voranmelden oder reservieren damit es auch gemütlich bleiben kann. If you are looking for a rustic, cozy inn - this is it. The boss of the house rocks everything alone. Groups of people should therefore register or reserve in advance so that it can remain comfortable.

Der Weg auf den Mattelsberg um den Sonnenuntergang zu sehen lohnt sich schon mal. Vom Restaurant aus hat man einen perfekten Blick darauf. Aber wegen des Sonnenuntergangs waren wir nicht hier sondern zum Essen. Und das hat's in sich. Speisekarte? Braucht man nicht. Auf das Menü haben wir im Dialog mit dem Wirt geeinigt. Das ist uns lieber als jede meterlange Speisekarte wo man eh weiß das der Großteil Convinience Food ist. Beim Brennersimmerl gibts genau das Gegenteil. Die Fokusierung auf Tagesgerichte und frische lokale Zutaten lohnt sich. Ein schönes Steak für 2 Personen, perfekt medium gebraten, dazu schöne frische Schwammerl in der Sauce und als Gemüsebeilage, Nudeln und tolle Knödel (für die gigantische Sauce) - ohne Firlefanz, ehrlich und unheimlich gut! When looking for authentic cuisine, we often heard from the "idiosyncratic" Brennersimmerl. The way to the Mattelsberg to see the sunset is worthwhile. You have a perfect view of it from the restaurant. But because of the sunset we weren't here but to eat. And that's what it takes. Menu? You don't need it. We agreed on the menu in dialogue with the host. We prefer that to any meter-long menu where you already know that most of the food is convenience food. With the Brennersimmerl there is exactly the opposite. Focusing on daily specials and fresh local ingredients is worth it. A nice steak for 2 people, perfectly medium fried, with nice fresh mushrooms in the sauce and as a vegetable side dish, noodles and great dumplings (for the gigantic sauce) - no frills, honest and incredibly good!

Da es keine Speisekarte gibt sollte man die Preise der Speisen vor der Bestellung erfragen. Für mein Gefühl war die Preise angemessen und ich kann jedem Empfehlen hier her zu kommen! A slightly different restaurant with very good and fresh food! We had a.o. a steak where you could taste the excellent quality. Since there is no menu, you should inquire about the prices of the dishes before ordering. In my opinion the prices were reasonable and I can recommend everyone to come here!
W	Wonka Wawa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesante Erlebnis. Diese Gasthaus hat beste Zeiten hinter sich. Deco und Möbel etwas alt aber hier.... ist was magisches... Essen wars fabelhaft. Pilz Suppe war excellent. Wirt ist sehr freundlich. Wenn jemand hat Lust auf was unkonventionelle findet man das bestimmt hier ? Interesting experience. This inn is past its prime. Deco and furniture a bit old but here ... it's something magical ... the food was fabulous. Mushroom soup was excellent. Landlord is very friendly. If someone is in the mood for something unconventional, you will definitely find it here ?
