Dear Rosalinde Thank you for wonderful experience at the Biolandhaus arche. Its been 10 years since my visit in 2001, but i still think fondly of my time in Eberstein - the walks in the mountain paths, the woods behind your place..more so the sense of family. I got to meet your sons Noe and Ilmar..and your late husband. I was privy to see a family at work that enjoys entertaining guests from all parts of the world. I got to see a proud father announce a pizza Noe..his sons take on a pizza margharita..the austrian hat dance evenings with the Tessmann family. In india we use a term "athithi devo bhava" (a guest is god in human form) I saw this in practice. You went to great lengths to make a full indian menu of Tadka Dal, Channa Masala, Rice and to finish it off a raitha(cucumber, onion and yoghurt garnished with coriander leaves). And i was made to feel special when I got to approve the dishes and ilmar made me announce the full indian dinner menu to the other guests. As a newcomer in europe, i felt included in your family and probably one of the many things i have and will talk about for years to come. Hope i can get my daughter and wife along with my family from India to come visit this summer of 2012

The hotel has a family like feeling to it. The rest we got there from every day rush was awesome. I can only recommend to people, who need a short break from a corporate stressfull enviroment.

I treated my parents to a weeklong vacation at Biolandhaus Arche. They advertise being a veg hotel. Throughout the week my parents kept smelling meat being cooked. One day there was a particular strong smell of beef bouillon, so they inquired, and one of the owners told my parents that they are not vegetarian themselves. Thats ridiculous imho - cooking animals at a veg hotel. So they are just making money off us, they don't even believe in vegetarianism. Thats unethical. And, they might even cook our food in the same dishes they use to cook dead animals. I will never spend my money there again.

Visited this place last year. We booked using travelbird and it was not presented the way it really is. I would not recomment it if you are looking for a normal romantic place in Austria. Let me start with the positive point (the reason for one star) the location is beautiful and the scenery is nice. The breakfast is also ok. The rest of our visit was NOT as we expected. You are not visiting in a hotel but it feels like you are visiting at a home. The rooms were old (no tv and old bathroom) and not according to hotel/guest house standards. The family has a special view on "what good is for you".. so no meat at all.... and "bio" food at the proposed times. They ring a bell and then you need to come for dinner. The dishes come extremely fast and were not according to the austrian standards that i experienced all over the country. Their employees (or interns?) Looked unhappy. To make it worse (and better) our room was overbooked and we were transferred to a cottage. We were happy to leave.

We spent there several days with 4 children. Delicious food, clean rooms, good air and wonderful nature. Lot of space for kids to play and run outside; if desired kids can have separate food (spaghetti, noodles etc). Food is vegan, yet very good. Salads, soups, main dishes, desserts-all very natural, healthy and tasty. Plan to be back once in the summer. Thanks, Biolandhaus Arche, for a nice rest.

A very friendly family-owned hotel on top of the mountain. Our room was spacious enough, and we had everything we needed for our little one: big bathtub, fridge, sink and a cot we received on request. The breakfast was absolutely amazing: an abundance of fruits, fruit juices, many different kind of cheese, spreads and always fresh bakery product. Dinner was a 4 course menu, not huge portions but just enough and tasteful for non-vegetarians too. The hotel organizes/recommends events on a daily basis, which is another good point. We will definitely will go back when our child got bigger.
