C	Chris Landa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Merkur is one of the higher class supermarkets in Vienna. Has a good selection and variett of products and you can even get fresh meat in this branch. This branch also has fresh vegetables and fruits and staff actually makes sure that they stay fresh - which is not the case at all supermarkets, unfortunately this is not even true for all branches of Merkur. They also have a good selection of baked goods, breads and rolls, which I do not use at all since it is self service and I don't trust other people to use the provided tools and gloves.
C	Canary Acca on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good choice if you look for fresh and local products, it has a beautiful location. The price is cheap for some products but there is also expensive stuff there. Has plenty of diverse chesses and meat products as well as vegan and vegetarian options. It's not far away from the main station and it's mostly not full during the day , only in the evening of Friday and Saturday , and of course if the next day is a national holiday then too. Look for Billa coupons to get it even cheaper! Also collect Jö points when shopping at Billa. They add up fast and give you up to 20% off of your purchase
M	Max Stirner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's BILLA, ignore the PLUS, a premium supermarket chain offering usually good quality products and a friendly, well trained staff, albeit at higher prices. They do have a couple of no-name & house brand lines which can keep your food budget manageable... just don't stray to their premium brands. The German behemoth REWE, having swallowed countless supermarket and drugstore chains, usually takes it's time renaming them. MERKUR is now BILLA PLUS, a member of the premier supermarket chain in Austria. I suppose some consultants thought that adding a "PLUS" to the name would somehow help keep their customer base loyal... and their agency income in the black :-).
