★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Das ehemalige Bergwerk Platzertal liegt in den Gemeindegebieten von Pfunds und Tösens im Platzer- und im Bergletal. Der Bergbau geht auf das 15. Jahrhundert zurück, 1539 wurde eine Gewerkschaft gegründet. 1610 musste der Bergbau wegen des Vorrückens des Bergler Ferners eingestellt werden, die Anlagen wurden 250 Jahre vom Gletscher überfahren, im Jahre 1884 wurde der Betrieb wieder aufgenommen. 1910 wurde der Bergbau endgültig eingestellt, trotz des erheblichen Erzgehalts erlaubten die hohen Förderkosten und die Winterpause keinen wirtschaftlichen Abbau.
 The former Platzertal mine is located in the municipal areas of Pfunds and Tösens in the Platzer and Bergletal valleys. Mining dates back to the 15th century and a union was founded in 1539. In 1610, mining had to be stopped due to the advancement of the Bergler Ferner, the facilities were overrun by the glacier for 250 years, and operation was resumed in 1884. Mining was finally stopped in 1910. Despite the high ore content, the high production costs and the winter break did not allow economic mining.
