★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect Apres Ski Restaurant and Champagne Bar/Champagner Hütte. Visited 2 days in a row because we liked it so much. They have a DJ in the afternoon and live music some nights. We had Margarita Pizza both days and loved it. We also had champagne, radler, white wine spritzer, and beer - everything was great. Decent prices for the top of a mountain. I’m not a very experienced skier and getting to and from this place was a bit tricky even though the surrounding slopes are “blue”.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommended as it has delicious food & is therefore a great place to stop for lunch with a new modern but rustic design inside & great view outside. Kaiserschmarren was outstanding - one of the best i’ve ever had!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommend Balmalp for an après-ski drink while watching the sunset. Very good, fast and friendly service. Prices are ok for the area, food was mediocre (have had better Kasspätzle). But as said: Aperol spritz, sunset and good music makes this place a 10/10 ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Balmalp has had a number of makeovers in the last 5 years, the most recent being very striking, especially outside on the widened terrace: it now feels a little corporate, but it will doubtless settle-in to a more interesting character over time.
It's a good & popular choice for lunch or to watch the sun set: the view from the terrace on a sunny day is what draws the crowds, but the one from the men's toilet is truly spectacular. Possibly the best, anywhere.
The kitchen serves a lot of pizza: so much that on my last visit, they had none left, and we had to make do with spaghetti bolognese and beers: a plate of which plus 2 beers came to €40 with service added.
