Nice quiet well-kept village in the middle of the Waldviertel. Great hiking trails, which are well signposted! Very nice!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hübscher Ort im Waldviertel in der Nähe von Ottenschlag, leider sehr wenig Infrastruktur, ich fand am Samstag kein geöffnetes Gasthaus! An klaren Tagen herrliche Fernsicht (Ötscher, Schneeberg etc.) vom Wachtstein! Netter Einkaufsladen mit lokalen Produkten. Gute Mohnzelten, viele Wanderwege gesäumt von mystischen Wackelsteinen, Waldviertel pur! Leider ist der schöne Dorfbrunnen nicht in Betrieb, wirklich schade!!
Schönes Gesundheitshotel (früher Kurzentrum) im Ort (Vivea Gesundheitshotel- Moor als ortsgebundenes Heilmittel - We want Moor! ). Im Ort sind ziemliche Höhenunterschiede zu bewältigen! Es gibt hier sogar eine kleine Windmühle.
Nice place in the Waldviertel near Ottenschlag, unfortunately very little infrastructure, I couldn't find an open inn on Saturday! On a clear day, wonderful views (Ötscher, Schneeberg etc.) from the Wachtstein! Nice shop with local products. Good poppy tents, many hiking trails lined with mystical rocking stones, pure Waldviertel! Unfortunately the beautiful village fountain is not in operation, which is a shame!
Nice health hotel (formerly a spa center) in the village (Vivea Gesundheitshotel- Moor as a local remedy - We want Moor!). There are quite a few differences in altitude to be overcome in the village! There is even a small windmill here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wer die totale Ruhe sucht wird sich hier wohlfühlen. Stundenlange Wanderungen durch die herrlichen Nadelwälder ohne einem Menschen zu begegnen. Eine nette kleine Ortschaft mit einem Greißler. Ein Ausgangpunkt für alle Wanderwege von 2 bis 16km. Ich bin jedenfalls begeistert !
Anyone looking for total peace and quiet will feel comfortable here. Hours of hiking through the beautiful coniferous forests without meeting anyone. A nice little town with a grocer. A starting point for all hiking trails from 2 to 16km. Anyway, I'm thrilled!
