Im Sommer viele markierte Wanderwege im Tal und auf die Berge. Viele Seen zum Schwimmen und so weiter. A wonderfully beautiful tourist area in the winter with well-maintained cross-country ski trails, friendly snowshoe guides, horse-drawn sleigh rides, Grimmingtherme and many ski slopes on the Tauplitzalm. In summer many marked trails in the valley and on the mountains. Many lakes for swimming and so on.

Die Sonnenalm ist als Beherbergungs sehr gut etwas oberhalb am äußersten Rand von Bad Mitterndorf, wie der Name schon sagt sonnenverwöhnt. Zu Fuß kommt man in etwa 20 Minuten ins Zentrum von Bad Mitterndorf. Vorher, etwa 10 Minuten von der Sonnenalm entfernt, kann man im Billa Supermarkt alles Notwendige einkaufen. Im Zentrum Bad Mitterndorf's gibt es neben einigen Beherbergungsbetrieben auch eine gute Auswahl an Restaurants. Ein sehr schönes Freibad rundet im Sommer das Programm auf. Das naheliegende Skigebiet ist entweder per Skibus oder Auto in kurzer Zeit erreichbar. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist allgemein sehr fair bemessen. Ein großes Loipennetz macht auch die glücklich, die nicht alpin unterwegs sind. Ausflugsziele gibt es noch und nöcher. Direkt in der Nähe ist z. B. die ehemals grösste Naturskischanze der Welt zu besuchen. Hallstatt am Hallstätter See ist ca. 30 Autominuten entfernt. I feel at home here and have been coming to Bad Mitterndorf for about 46 years. The Sonnenalm is a very good place to stay a little above on the outermost edge of Bad Mitterndorf, as the name suggests, sun-drenched. The center of Bad Mitterndorf can be reached on foot in around 20 minutes. Before that, about 10 minutes away from the Sonnenalm, you can buy everything you need in the Billa supermarket. In the center of Bad Mitterndorf there is not only a few accommodation providers but also a good selection of restaurants. A very nice outdoor pool rounds off the program in summer. The nearby ski area can be reached in a short time either by ski bus or by car. The price / performance ratio is generally very fair. A large network of cross-country trails also makes those who are not alpine go happy. There are still and further destinations for excursions. In the immediate vicinity is z. B. to visit the former largest natural ski jump in the world. Hallstatt am Hallstätter See is approx. 30 minutes away by car.
