★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An der Außenmauer des Hauses Große Neugasse 27 (ident mit Schäffergasse 17) findet man ein interessantes Sgraffito, welches an die Pestepidemie in Wien von 1713 erinnern soll. Man erkennt Kaiser Karl VI und die personifizierte Pest, die über die Stadt Wien die Geißel schwingt. Karl VI trägt das Modell der Karlskirche in Händen, welche er gelobte, nach der Pest zu errichten und die die dem Pestheiligen Karl Borromäus geweiht wurde.
 On the outer wall of the house at Große Neugasse 27 (identical to Schäffergasse 17) there is an interesting sgraffito, which is supposed to remind of the plague epidemic in Vienna of 1713. One recognizes Emperor Karl VI and the personified plague that wields the scourge over the city of Vienna. Charles VI carries the model of the Karlskirche in his hands, which he vowed to build after the plague and which was consecrated to the plague saint Karl Borromeo.
