â â â â â James' place was lovely, clean and homely! He was so friendly and helpful, always asking if there was anything we needed and giving us all the information we needed. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that wants to be right on the doorstep of the alps. Near a village which has everything you need and connected to Salzburg by train, but without a car it is more difficult to get around (but still manageable!)
Definitely would visit again

â â â â â Spent a weeks at HAUS Kienreich in March 2019 together with 20 people as part of a snowboarding trip to the Austrian Alps and the Ski AmadĂ©.
Ideally located just outside Altenmarkt and amongst a number of ski resorts, a short 10 minute walk to a small local ski resort and a 10 minute bus ride to the fabulous Zauchensee and Absolut Park.
James was a great host, bending over backwards to make sure everyone was happy. Great knowledge of the local area guided us to get the best out of our week
The Challet has an amazing view of the surrounding mountains!!!

â â â â â The hostel is perfect, comfortable, clean, affordable, close to a ski lift distance, great selection for breakfast, plenty of entertainment. James is an incredibly accommodating host helping us out with information, lifts, equipment hire and loads of other stuff. Five stars, highly recommended!

â â â â â Stayed here for a week of snowboarding with my son. James and Tracey couldnât do enough for us, rooms were spotless and warm. If you needed anything they would do there best to get it for you. A fantastic stay. Definitely going back again.

â â â â â Great place to stay with a picture perfect view direct from the room to the magic Alps. The room was very clean and nice, and the hospitality of Tracy and James is excellent. Really close to everything from ski lifts at winter to nice hiking routes.

â â â â â This place is awesome! What can I say, I stayed here with a large group of my snowboarding friends and The chalet is clean and comfortable with an amazing vibe! James and his family are truly brilliant hosts and couldnât do enough for us! Genuinely canât wait to go back and stay with these guys again! Truly great people and accommodation ? top job!

â â â â â My favourite place. I always choose to stay there with my friends during our winter/summer trips. Quiet area but not far from ski slopes or hiking trails. Rooms are clean and have all necessary facilities. Great, hosts! James and Tracy, are so friendly and easygoing and have such positive attitude that it makes you come back there.
