★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Schöne Ruine, romantisches schlößchen,,und am schönsten für mich der türkenbrunnen, der weg von bad vöslau ist schlecht beschildert und die Zeitangabe am Beginn passt nicht ist viel länger
Beautiful ruin, romantic castle, and the most beautiful thing for me is the Türkenbrunnen, the way away from Bad Vöslau is badly signposted and the time at the beginning does not fit is much longer

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Einige Meter vom Türkenbrunnen entfernt findet man auf der großen Lichtung die Aussichtswarte Merkenstein. Der Turm ist außen aus Stein und innen komplett aus Holz. Eine hölzerne Treppe bringt euch nach oben. Dann genießt man bei gutem Wetter einen wunderbaren Ausblick ???
A few meters away from the Türkenbrunnen you will find the lookout tower Merkenstein in the large clearing. The tower is on the outside of stone and inside completely made of wood. A wooden staircase will bring you upstairs. Then you can enjoy a wonderful view in good weather ???

Nice tower, nice view and pleasant walk.
From the barrier over the ruins and back approx. 2 hours (with stops)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Klasse Aussichtsturm, gut erhalten und solide ausgebaut. Man muss sich nicht, wie in ähnlichen Türmen, Sorgen darüber machen, ob die Treppenstufen einem unter den Füßen wegbrechen. Leider ist das Gästebuch seit 2020 voll.
Dir Aussicht war aufgrund von Nebel beschränkt, dennoch hat sich der Abstecher gelohnt!
Great observation tower, well preserved and solidly developed. As in similar towers, you don't have to worry about the stairs breaking under your feet. Unfortunately the guestbook has been full since 2020.
The view was limited due to the fog, but the detour was worth it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wunderbares Ausflugsziel, das noch nicht überlaufen ist. Einfach die Seele auf der Wiese baumeln lassen, den Aussichtsturm besichtigen (leise sein, hier leben Fledermäuse), den Weg genießen mitsamt Vogelgezwitscher und vielen Eidechsen, vor allem am Ende des Weges sowie beim Aussichtsturm selbst.
Wonderful destination that is not yet overcrowded. Just let your soul dangle in the meadow, visit the lookout tower (be quiet, bats live here), enjoy the path along with the chirping of birds and lots of lizards, especially at the end of the path and at the lookout tower itself.
