Geheimtipp: danach auf ein naturtrübes Haselbräu in die Wirtshausbrauerei Haselböck! Magnificent views of the foothills of the Alps and the southern Waldviertel, always worth a short trip. Insider tip: afterwards on a naturally cloudy Haselbrau in the Haselböck pub brewery!

An der Straße sind Schilder zum Aussichtsturm angebracht, die einen – anders als Google Maps – südlich des Turms zum Fußballplatz lotsen. Dort gibt es ausreichend Parkmöglichkeiten. Wenn man den Weg zum Turm von Norden (also von Münichreith) aus nimmt, muss man zuerst durch einen unbeschilderten Waldweg hindurch. Dieser ist zwar kürzer als der Weg von Kollnitz hinauf, aber streckenweise steiler. A pretty nice observation tower with a wide panoramic view. There are signs on the road to the observation tower, which - unlike Google Maps - direct you south of the tower to the football field. There is enough parking space there. If you take the path to the tower from the north (i.e. from Münichreith), you first have to go through an unmarked forest path. Although this is shorter than the way up from Kollnitz, it is steeper in parts.

Gehzeit ca. 15-20 Minuten von Münichreith. Herrliches Panorama mit Schneeberg, Ötscher, usw. Super awesome view in all directions! The tower is 17m (84 steps) high, you can see beautiful across the forest to Münichreith and Kollnitz. Walking time about 15-20 minutes from Münichreith. Magnificent panorama with Schneeberg, Ötscher, etc.
R	Regina Tauchner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stahl-Holz-Konstruktion mit Gitterstufen und Gitter-Boden. Am Weg gibt es einen Unterstand mit Getränken (SB, s. Foto). Hervorragender Ausblick, dank der Fotos weiß man auch, was zu sehen ist. Steel-wood construction with lattice steps and lattice floor. There is a shelter with drinks along the way (self-service, see photo). Excellent view, thanks to the photos you also know what to see.

Great view and even with children in half an hour from Münichreith. If you want it shorter, you can start from the sports field (south of the Kollnitzberg).
