★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great wander routes, some good ones for small kids too. Several also accessible with a stroller (air tires recommended though). Fantastic vistas, waterfalls and clear water lakes. If you find the right hotel or B&B and enjoy wandering around a lot, this place has a lot to offer. Get the wilde wunder card from your hotel, it has 50% off of the Mariazeller Bahn.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A small but really great ski resort. The offer lots of fun for kids: beginners hills as we as easy lifts, fun parks and even a small kids area for pauses. Not too expensive, enough parking possibilities. Great variety of tickets (e.g. 4 hours , only beginners hills). Although there were quite a lot of people, there was hardly any waiting time to get up. Best: it's not far from Vienna

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a nice small skiing area with 2 chairlifts, a t-bar lift and a button lift and also slopes for the absolute beginners and small kids very close to the ticket booth. I guess advanced skiers will get bored after one day but for families, especially with smaller kids, Annaberg provides everything you need. Last time I went there, they also had 2 fun parks especially interesting for snowboarders.
