Tap water will be charged 1Euro.(understandable when you are not consuming but when you have a bill over 35 Euros....)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very well prepared Austrian style hütte/restaurant/pansion. The staff is very helpful and kind. The location is perfect, just a few steps away from the ski lift. They home made snaps is excellent, the distilating machine looks gergous. It is exhibited inside the restaurant.

The only real downside (hence one star deduction) was that the waitress seemed very brusque and didn't pick up well on social cues such as if we're all still looking at the menu and discussing the dishes then we're probably not ready to order. She pressed us for our order maybe five or six times which set a poor tone. The food, however, was very good. It wasn't crowded. We went on a Friday night at 6.30pm. It's a 15 minute walk from the centre of Obertauern but that was a good way to build up an appetite. The owner offers a taxi service for those who prefer not to/ can't walk.
