Food: Bad
We had breakfast included in our stay.
There was different food items but it was very far from delicious.
I could see that some of the food was served in the buffet several times. There was flies in our appel juice one morning. The waiter responded with "kein problem".
Location:
Location was okay. next to Rofan seilbahn, close to centre of the village Maurach within walking distance of achensee. Only minus is busy street and a petrol station just across the road.
Rooms:
Newly renovated. Clean. Plenty of towels.
Hotel interior:
Reception, corridors, restaurant, bar area are all very worn out.
Un-charming is the best description I can think of.
Staff:
The staff in the reception was very friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately they were unable to provide knowledge about activities in Achensee area e.g. hiking routes etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not sure why the reviews are low here, I have no major issues with this place. It's quiet enough. It has clean and decent sized rooms. Plenty of parking. Nice views. Didn't try food downstairs... Receptionist spoke English and Russian, and German of course...
yes, wifi cuts in and out and not very strong. Mattress could be better. TV could be bigger I guess...
Feels fairly priced tho

The staff was great and knew english well.
If the roomes will be renovated it will get 1 more star.
